In conjunction with the Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association (PLNA) and Future Farmers of America (FFA), Octoraro Native Plant Nursery donated (300) container grown seedlings for each member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day. The plants were a mix of native trees and shrubs representing the diversity of Pennsylvania’s flora. FFA is an amazing group of “young” (very mature for their age) and dedicated individuals that represent the best in PA Agricultural curriculum. They are a pleasure to work with and we always appreciate their efforts in helping prepare and deliver the plants to the House Chambers.
This is the 5th time Octoraro has donated to this effort over the years. It’s always warmly received by the members of the Assembly and helps spread the word about the importance of our industry and our environment.
